Seacove Apartments ("we", "us") respects your privacy and handles your personal data in line with the Data Protection Act, 2019 of Kenya. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Seacove Apartments is the data controller for the information you give us through this website. You can contact us at hello@seacove.co.ke, on +254 742 490 071, or at Shanzu, Mombasa, Kenya.
2. What we collect
When you send us a message or ask to schedule a visit, we collect:
- your first and last name, email address and phone number;
- what you are interested in, your message, and the date you would like to visit, if you give one;
- your consent, and when you gave it.
With each enquiry we also record technical information: your IP address, your browser and device details, and the page you sent the form from. We use this to keep the website safe from spam and misuse, and to help us respond.
3. How we use your information
- to reply to your enquiry and arrange visits;
- to send you the information you ask for about our apartments;
- to keep a record of the enquiries we receive;
- to protect the website from spam and misuse;
- to meet our legal obligations.
4. Our lawful basis
We use your information with your consent, which you give by ticking the box on our forms, and because we have a legitimate interest in running and securing this website and answering the people who contact us. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the website and handle your enquiry, such as our hosting and email providers, who may only use it for that purpose, and where the law requires us to. Your enquiry is emailed to our team and stored in our secure admin system.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or for as long as the law requires, and then delete it or make it anonymous.
7. Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you have the right to:
- be told how your data is used;
- ask for a copy of the data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your data;
- object to our using your data, and withdraw your consent at any time.
To use any of these rights, write to us at hello@seacove.co.ke. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you may complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner of Kenya at www.odpc.go.ke.
8. Cookies and third-party services
The website uses only the cookies it needs to work, for example to keep our forms secure. The map on our Contact page is provided by Google Maps. When the map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. Please see Google's privacy policy for how it uses that information.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure connections and limiting who can see enquiries. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
This website is not meant for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
